Not Happily Ever After
Happily ever afters are for fairy tales- Fictional accounts of events. and love shouldn't be compared to such, and left only to its own innocence. I don't want to live happily ever after, I want to struggle and fight. I want to be assured that my companion sees my love as a rare treasure, and will fight with all his might! I don't want my love to merely be a clause, Yet, in the eyes of another, a noble cause. I don't want a prince, with money and fame- I want a warrior with precision and mastered aim- Someone that is driven and raw, willing to fight and to keep our love alive. With a fierce heart and the willpower of a mule. So when the monsoons begin and the rain pours down, he won't give up like a fool. He must be loyal and brave and have a savage soul, For I don't grovel and now for a man- He must be quick thinking and stay on his toes and be steps ahead, with a plan. At the end of the day, he must be a gentleman, and come hither me in, with his warm eyes and his irresistible grin- And together we will sit at our hearts hearth and rest our weary bones. Just another day's battle finished, as we return to our hearts home.
