Not even in my dreams
I woke from my dream, screaming your name. Sweat was all over my face because I saw you leave to a place I could never be. Because I saw you leaving my hand, the hand that in my head I promised to myself that you would never leave. Now I'm wide awake, and it hits me hard that I just can't be with you, not just in my dreams, but even in this world of reality, I saw you choosing someone other than me. Maybe we weren't meant to be, not even in my dreams.
