not another love song
In the depths of my soul, a tale I will tell, A different melody, a different swell. Not a sweet love song, but a different refrain, Of life's other facets, where sorrows remain. For love, it's a symphony played countless times, Yet in the shadows, let me sing of other rhymes. Of pain and heartache, of battles lost and won, Of the struggles faced when life's journey's begun. Let the verses weave stories of broken dreams, Of shattered hopes and silently bursting seams. For love is fickle, an unpredictable game, But life, ah life, far from being the same. Through corridors of despair, I'll wander tonight, With words that pierce the heart, that ignite. The sorrows experienced, too often shoved aside, Now expressed in verses, words that can't hide. Not another love song, but a mournful tune, To explore life's complexities, light up the moon. For in the darkest moments, we truly find, The strength within to rise, the spirit to bind. Let the rhythm guide me, as I write with might, The stories of resilience, of struggles and fight. For every tear shed, there's a tale to unfold, Of resilience and courage, as life's stories are told. So let me sing not of hearts entwined, But of battles fought, of souls redefined.
