"Not Alowed"
I like her laugh, I like her eyes, But saying so feels like disguise. I hide my heart, I bite my tongue, 'Cause love like mine gets labeled wrong. They whisper things they think are true, Like love’s a box of pink and blue. But I’m just me I feel, I care, Why must my truth be so unfair? They call it “phase” or worse than that, As if it’s just a passing spat. But when she smiles, my chest feels light Yet all I feel is fear at night. I’m not ashamed of who I am, But “stupid society” says I am. Still, deep inside, I’ll let love grow, Even if the world says "no."
