Normal
So many people aspire to be a normal person I never did until I was 16 Turns out I will never be treated like a human Because of things that are not my fault Apparently because I have to take medication I don’t deserve to be treated like a person But I do deserve to be treated like glass I want nothing more than to be loved By someone who treats me the same way I treat them But if that means not telling them Anything about my past So be it It was stupid to think Someone could even think about me And not care about my past Including anything that tore me apart I would rather hide my scars The ones I made myself Then to be looked at like I’m broken Like I’m damaged Because I don't deserve that I don't deserve to be treated like crap I realize I deserve to be happy And anyone who says different doesn’t deserve me I’m not the little kid Everyone can push around Not anymore I know my worth And if no one else does That’s fine I'm used to being alone To standing alone To go through everything alone I didn't need a therapist To tell me that I didn’t need medication To ‘fix’ me Because I don’t need To be fixed I need to be loved And if no one can love me
