I don't necessarily need a person Nor do I want someone to be my person I just wanna be a person Not this being who's caged within herself Whose words can't match her heart's I wanted to breathe, to grow But my growth is stunted by my inability to speak And these words on my heart don't dare to touch my lips Though my mind screams for the truth My body treats me as poison If I touch anything more, it'll be tainted If my words were to ever see light I'll be burned because I belong in the dark But I am just a person All my thoughts can't be wrong All my feelings should be heard At least by me If not by me, where do I find the strength to say what I never wanted to hear?
