I see the fire Yet I can't feel it's warmth The sun shines on my face But my cold skin Can't feel it's embrace There's a heart Or at least that's what I call the frozen pieces Put together to mimic one There's static in my head Forcing me to put on the brakes My mind is frozen My heart is the Arctic My skin covered in frost There's a black hole In my chest Drawing in my heart How could I escape you? You never go away When I feel loved I tend to disassociate and disappear I am waiting on the phone Hoping for a call Even though I wouldn't pick Up my phone I refuse to say I care I want the flowers But my skies Are engulfed by clouds of hail Raining on my empty hopes I wish I could thaw myself out God! I hate myself a little But yet I want to love myself Won't you teach me how to be warm? Won't you take it all away?
