No place to Hide

I used to hide from the storm that is my life now I run, for there is no spot I won't be found I cover my eyes to protect them from the lighting that is their disappointed faces I shield my ears from the thunder that is the yelling I put on a jacket to shield me from the wind that is the beatings soon enough, I realized that if you don't show them, the then they don't notice that you hurt So I hide in this shell of emptiness that still surrounds me to this day
