"No One Knows"
I sleep in a tent, not a bed, With hunger and fear in my head. I once had a home, a sky full of light, Now I live in the shadow of night. They call me refugee, not by name, But I’m still a person- I’m still the same. I lost my land, my past, my song, Yet somehow, I still try to be strong. Tears fall quietly- no one sees, A life on hold, lived on my knees. I didn’t run to chase a dream... I ran from fire, from death, from screams. Please don’t look away when I cry, I’m just like you- I want to fly. Not with wings, just with peace, And a place where my pain can finally cease. -Mr Aashiq
