No One Is Listening
How can I ask for help when no one is listening? I shout into a crowded room, but only echoes return. The tears on my face are the only things glistening, While the bridges to comfort slowly start to burn. My voice feels like a whisper in a raging storm, An unspoken plea hidden deep inside my chest. I try to find safety where it used to be warm, But my mind is a cage that will not let me rest. Yet a quiet hand extended can break through the dark, And a single open heart can help the noise fade. I will keep searching for that one tiny spark, To step out of the silence my heavy heart made.
