You’re light. Not in a loud way. Just soft light. The kind that doesn’t force itself into a room but somehow changes the whole atmosphere. You’re short… quiet… pleasing… funny in your own strange way. And I don’t even think you realize how much calm you carry. School feels heavy. Coding feels heavy. Life sometimes feels like everyone is adding pressure to something already carrying too much. But you… you have these small things the random texts, the funny gestures, that smile that just remove the weight without even trying. Talking to you feels like home. Not the noisy type. The peaceful one. The kind where I can just exist without performing. I have friends. I have people. But you’re different. You’re not my “best friend” like Kim or the others. You’re something I don’t have a word for yet. Something I sit alone and think about… and just smile. How weird is that? I would be a fool to replace this kind of friendship. Whatever this is. Why would I need cuddles when thoughts of you warm me up anyway? Why would I need constant time together when my mind already replays our conversations like they’re my favorite place? You make rainy days easier. You make heavy days lighter.
