Nights
I still think about you when it's time for bed. I roll over into the darkness thinking that I'll see you. But you're never there. I dream about you as I wrestle around in the bed and in my own head. But yet again. When I wake up there's nothing but the dead. You. You left. Its always quiet. My stomach rolling and rushing, full of uncertainty and the insanity that you left me with. You're always in the back of my head. Day and night. In the chaos of life you are my pause. My silence. You are my night. So peaceful. Only left with the reminder of you when the sun goes down and you can hear the cool breeze ring between the shades, and the crickets rubbing their legs. Without you, the night isn't the same. I wake up to a false reality and confused about where I was just seconds before. I was stuck in the night with you... my light no more.
