Nightmares
In the crypt of sleep, where shadows creep, Where demons feast and phantoms weep, I tread the path where horrors play, In twisted dreams where darkness stays.Eyes that see, yet not my own, Through hollow skulls, through flesh and bone, A scream that chokes, a breathless cry, In a world where daylight comes to die.Teeth that gnash in mouths of gore, A hungry maw, forever more, They feast on fear, they drink my dread, In this realm where hope is dead.Hands of rot that reach from graves, To pull me down to endless caves, Where whispers slither, voices hiss, In a lover’s mocking kiss.Skin peels back in crimson strips, Exposing truths from rancid lips, A grin too wide, a laugh too shrill, In this nightmare, time stands still. The ground it heaves, the sky it bleeds, A garden of dark, sown with wicked seeds, Where roses bloom with thorns of rust, In soil soaked with blood and dust.I run through halls of endless doors, Each one a gateway to ancient wars, Where every step is marked with pain, And every breath is drawn in vain. But there’s no escape, no waking light, Just the endless night, the endless fright, For in this place, I am the prey, In nightmares, I forever stay. And as I fall, into the deep, Where monster lives
