Nigeria, oh Nigeria, Land of the sun and soil, Rich in resources and culture, But plagued by government turmoil. Corruption runs rampant, From top to bottom it flows, Promises made but not kept, Leaving the people with woes. Leaders come and leaders go, But the story remains the same, Lack of accountability and transparency, Fueling the cycle of shame. Education and healthcare suffer, Infrastructure in disrepair, While the politicians continue to prosper, Leaving the masses in despair. Yet hope still lingers, For a better future ahead, If only the government can deliver, On the promises they have said. Nigeria, oh Nigeria, May your leaders rise to the task, And lead with integrity and vision, To bring about lasting change at last.
