Newsflash From Space

If some alien species with roughly our same level of technological abilities and similaritaries in advancements, were looking at us from the same distance from space, would we look, to them, like they look to us? Would we be Exoplanet-xyz-123? Possibly a rock planet, would they wonder if we have water?
