New Me
My soul is tired. My soul is crushed. I'm tired of fighting. I'm tired of the tears. I sit here in silence. I'm not trying to remember the years. Years of abuse. Mentally, verbally and emotionally. Guarding my soul before you turn it to dust. Here I am, picking up my broken pieces, trying to make them fit where they should belong. You molded my soul into something I'm not. I'm trying to love again, find the new me. I'm exhausted from rebuilding myself into the image others want to see. I'm continuing broken, it's completely fine. I don't want my old soul back, that was a different time. Time for healing, time to move on. Learning to love the new me as forever goes on.
