New horizon

For a long time I was living without living Hiding within myself In the world I was dreaming But I can't dream forever That's something I forgot Something I dismissed While I was deep in my thoughts And then I woke up For first time in a while I got free from the dreams Where I was in exile And I cannot describe The feeling of awakening The feeling of life Is breathtaking And with each breath I can feel my body responding I can feel life within me I can feel my heart pounding The world around me Feels more alive than before It feels bigger than I remember And I can't ask for more The colours that were washed Are now vibrant and brighter The air that was oppressive Now feels lighter The nights that were dark Where emptiness felt eternal Are now filled with stars And that feels normal The moonlight that was ominous That was dark and frightening Is now bright and warm And that's exciting This is the new horizon That I see with my eyes That I feel with my body Since I arise
