NEVER GOOD ENOUGH
I’m good at everything— that’s what they say. But inside, it never feels real, never feels like it matters anyway. Because no matter how hard I try, someone else is always better— braver than me, smarter than me, louder, brighter, shining like stars I can never touch. I keep running, but the world runs faster. I keep smiling, but the cracks grow deeper. I keep pretending, but my heart grows quieter with every “almost” I become. I watch others bloom while I stay the same— half-finished, half-loved, half-seen, half-named. And the worst part is… I don’t blame them. I blame me. For being good at everything yet never good enough, for trying so hard only to end up in second place to people who never even noticed I was racing. So I fold into myself, slowly, silently— hoping one day someone will see the pieces I keep breaking into. But deep down, I know the truth: everyone else shines… and I’m just the shadow that no one looks at twice.
