NEVER ENOUGH
I pour my heart, my soul, my all But still, you crave, you want, you enthrall More, more, more, it's never enough A bottomless pit, a never-ending rough I'm drained, I'm worn, I'm tired and weak But still, you push, you prod, you seek To extract the last drop, the final breath Leaving me dry, leaving me death Why can't you see, why can't you know That I'm doing all I can, and it's time to let go? I'm not a well, I'm not a sea I'm just a person, and I'm begging to be free So I'll take a step back, I'll draw a line And say enough, it's time to redefine What's enough, what's not, what's fair and true And maybe then, you'll see, and maybe then, you'll too.
