never a moment
we take the jump even though we can’t fly, we don’t know the song, but we still sing loud. never a moment of peace, til we die. can we ever be more than fake, and proud? we yearn for our mothers like baby birds, we cry, and love, we are not just machines. yet we still don’t stop all our empty words, up on our selfish thrones like kings and queens. i blame the world, but i am like this too. build my achievements up like castle walls, but little insecurities get through, unimportant things that hit like wrecking balls. and i sit idly, watching life rush past. how much longer is this going to last?
