Nevada Sky

August, 2023 It's so hot in Vegas at this time of year: (The heat is oppressive from dawn to dawn.) In the early evening, my mind is at ease, 'though the heat of the day lingers on. 'Cause the Nevada sky is so unbelieveably blue, and the AC keeps humming along. When it's late in the summer, we get no relief; (mostly hellish-hot all the day long); and maybe at night, down to 90 degrees. If you like dry heat, then come on. The Nevada sky is so beautifully blue, and the AC keeps humming along. When you're in the desert, there's not a cloud in the sky, (and it's sometimes so hot, even birds won't fly). The hot sun will chase them away, that's why. We call it our no-fly zone. But the Nevada sky is so fantastically blue and the AC keeps humming along. If you're ever in Vegas this time of year, and you think very dry heat is for fun, just drive to the desert and soak up the sun; (or go lie by the pool, if you're there all alone.)
