Nerites

Poseidon's lover and charioteer, blindingly fast could he steer. The sea god claimed the nereid as his. The young and beautiful Nerites. But the sun god, Helios, Was envious of his speed. Or maybe Poseidon himself, Saying Nerites caused his heart to bleed For jealous reasons, not exactly clear, magic transformed the poor charioteer. His sister found him, a shrimp, a mere shellfish. Helios was responsible for an act so selfish. Nerea cried to Poseidon and begged him to break the curse. The sea god shrugged and obliged, for he loved the boy. And he knew Helios could have done so much worse.
