NATURE'S CRY
Amidst the quiet of the woods, a whispering breeze, Carries the sorrow of nature's plea. The trees weep silently, their leaves rustling, As they mourn the destruction that is bustling. The rivers run dry, their once clear waters tainted, By the greed of man, their purity tainted. The animals cry out, their homes disappearing, As concrete jungles rise, their habitats vanishing. The mountains crumble, their peaks eroding, As we continue to exploit, nature's cry foreboding. The skies darken, the air thick with pollution, As we ignore the signs of nature's revolution. But still, there is hope in the midst of despair, If we listen to nature's cry, if we dare. To change our ways, to heal the wounds we've caused, To protect and preserve, before all is lost. For nature's cry is a call to action, A plea for us to show compassion. To live in harmony, to coexist, And ensure that nature's beauty will always persist.
