Nature saved me as a child
In the shadows of a broken home, Where innocence was left alone, Nature whispered soft and kind, A healing balm for a troubled mind. Beneath the trees, away from pain, I found a place to breathe again, The rustling leaves, a gentle song, A world where I could feel strong. Though darkness tried to steal my light, Nature held me through the night, In every breeze and every stream, I found the strength to dream. With every step on forest floor, I left behind what hurt me more, And in the silence, pure and free, Nature saved the child in me.
