My Yah
In the depths of my despair, where shadows loomed so dark, What luminescent thread would have guided me, had You not left Your mark? Where would my wandering soul have roamed, forsaken and forlorn, If Your radiant presence hadn't illuminated the path, and kept me from being torn? I am but a fragile vessel, a fleeting breath, a moment's pause, Without You, Yah, I am but dust, a whispered promise, a forgotten cause. You are the anchor that holds fast, the shelter from life's raging storm, My haven, my refuge, my guiding star, my everything, my form. Who would have extended a hand, to lift me from the darkest night? Who would have whispered words of love, to soothe my soul, and make it right? You, oh Yah, are my Protector, my Shield, my Defender true, My Father, my King, my Sovereign Lord, my heart beats only for You. What would I have become, had You not intervened in my life's design? A ship without a rudder, lost at sea, torn apart by every wind and tide. But with You by my side, I am not alone, I am not adrift, You are my Home, my Shelter, my Rock, my Refuge, where I find my lift. You are the One who loves me, without condition or reserve, The One who saves me, who redeems me, who forever swerves.
