My World
In a world of gloom, I found my place, A lonely soul, with a guilt-filled face. Depressed and down, my spirits low, I needed laughter, a humorous show. So I searched for jokes, to lift my heart, To mend the pieces, torn apart. But guilt, my friend, clung to my side, A constant reminder, I couldn't hide. I laughed and chuckled, with all my might, But guilt whispered softly, in the dead of night. It whispered of mistakes, I couldn't undo, And the weight of remorse, that I still knew. Oh, guilt, you sneaky little sprite, You haunt my dreams, both day and night. But in this humor, I found a way, To face my guilt, and make it sway. For laughter, my friend, is a powerful tool, To heal the wounds, that guilt can fuel. So I'll embrace the funny, the silly, the absurd,l And let laughter guide me, like a singing bird. In this short verse, I'll find my peace, A moment of respite, a guilt release. For though I'm depressed and feeling alone, Humor will remind me, I'm not on my own.
