My Town
i come from a different time and place where my small town was safe and everybody knew everybody , no serial killers or violence but yeah there were street drugs sold by thugs but they posed no harm or danger we knew never talk to a stranger , the town was remote timber industry town way out next to a valley at the bottom of a mountain where the pine tree line began and the ground turned to grass rather than high desert sand with lots of sage across the land, if you had a problem people were quik to lend a hand ,if you had a big mouth or messed with a man's wife or his girl you would quickly get put in your place like socked in the face if that be the case, we were behind modern times only property crimes no cell phones , no internet what you see is what you get , no searching the web for solutions for problems , you had to figure it out or leave it behind . we knew each other and not anybody abroad or far away except those who traveled but that was rare and usually only for family holiday get away or emergency situation sometimes college education or vacation. the closest city was in the next state 50 miles away but we grocery shopped there every Saturday. that was the highlight of my week ,...NEXT >
