If I ever offered you the world would you take it? Would you clutch it close to your chest? Would you praise every special detail? Would you display it in a pendent for the world to gawk at? Or will do the same as all the others and call me insane? Chastise me, and say that I'm manipulative? Belittle and scream Because I offered you my undying loyalty But all you saw was firey commitment, gifted with a catch You must also be able to trust me. So you ran And in doing so told me all I needed to know About you You never trusted me So instead of breaking I pick myself up In order to look for someone who would trust enough To turn their back to me And trust me to have it Like you never would
