My Teenage Years
In the rain I stand looking up towards the sky as lightning crashes upon the land smoking tobacco feeling somewhat high I think back to yesterday when I was young and curious what I thought was fun to play made my parents furious I was a boy, who got his way some say that I was a spoiled child in the summer my parents sent me away I would return, a little more wild . I think about then and wonder now a bit older, a little smarter, wow! I had fun without understanding what fun was even though I enjoyed it, simply because it was given to me, so I enjoyed it more fancy free. I would flee not to fly but to soar at nineteen I would see how fun it is to score my teenage years, I had strength to explore as I stand in the rain looking forward to tomorrow will I swim in happiness or drown in sorrow?
