"My stupid heart"
I can't believe I haven't learned, Each time I call, my voice is spurned. No change will come, I should have known, We try as friends, yet end alone. I chase the past, though filled with pain, Still, something calls me back again. A whisper soft, a careless sigh, And once again, I can't say why. Oh, my heart—so foolish, blind, It leaves my better sense behind. I've tried to walk, to close that door, Yet here I stand, just like before. Too late, my feet have found their way, To love that burns, yet bids me stay. And if we fall in flames anew, My heart’s to blame—so tried, so true. Again I fight, yet lose the war, Ignoring all we've lost before. Your words return, so bittersweet, And I surrender to defeat. Too late, already on my way, No lesson learned, no price to pay. If we ignite and fade apart, Then curse the name—my stupid heart.
