my son
Here he is,lying in his death bed, His hands clutched to mine, Making me reminisce Of the days, When he was 5, Toddled with his cute little legs, With my hands clutched to his. His first cry pumped my heart, With joy and pride. His first words, Excited me. His first achievement, No matter how small or how big, Radiated my soul with pride. But now, Needles and tubes connected all over his body, his health deteriorating, each and every second. The so called Cancer, Multiplying all over his body, Showing no mercy. Is this the last day in his life? Is this going to be my last talk with him? Dear son, No matter where you are, How you are, My love for you is eternal. And here I am, Wiping my tears, For he has become a memory.
