My Sister Raised Me
I was raised by my sister. Not my mom, not my dad. They were present, but never there. Never there to teach me stuff. Never there to show me what's right and what's wrong. Never there, when life was tough. Never there, for those talks that took too long. But my sister was. She was always here. She'd lie about having powers, Just so I could have no fear. She'd sit with me for hours, Teaching me to be a decent human being. She told me stories so I could fall asleep. And those memories, I will always keep. She's all I ever wanna be. And im scared of having children, Because im scared that I cant be a mother like she was to me. (btw, im not that good, english isnt my first language and this is my first ever poem written, so i apologize if its shitty haha)
