My shower sees me at my worst.
The off white oft wet walls watch as I wash my wishes and worries away. Dead skin dirt old self worth hurt egos and burnt credos all rinsed down the drain I whisper expletives. My head hits the bottom tip of the drip- -ing faucet that doesn't properly seal My back slides slantwise down the side of the slippery slope that serendipitously sits me in my 'feels' I still whisper expletives The blazing rain strips away the masculine urge to bury all the hurt but one small step a towel becomes wet and only my shower sees me at my worst.
