My ribs
My ribs are cracked and broken From my many days spent With the girls wrestling team, With a binder crushing them, With a sports bra too small. My ribs are not my ribs Not all of them at least. I have one stolen from adam The original man, A man I was meant to be. My ribs are tired and sore From the many nights I spent Crying my lungs out Wishing to be a real boy Wishing to be seen And treated as such. My ribs, stuck in my flesh Disgusting flesh that fits Like a dress two sized to small. I want to rip off the wrong pieces and free my labored chest. My ribs, my bones Deep in them i know I'll never be real Ill never know what its like To live as a man. My ribs that cry in pain Cry with me in grief The loss of who i was The strength it took To push her down and take my place
