My Peace
Like sun rays shining through the crevices of the drapes, your sleepy gaze pierce through the darkness. You caught me staring, but I'm not flustered cause if you could see what I see then you'd stare too. A facecard that could put beauty pageants to shame, but who am I to brag that my pillow is too fluffy or my steak is too buttery? A cheeky soft smile mirroring the pleasant appearance of golden tulips blooming in the fields at noon. A wavy hair laying in artistic arrangements like the waves of the sea. Personality and sweet innocence that men will gladly go to wars to preserve. What's there not to love and be grateful for? I ask as a truly satisfied man. With soulful eyes and a voice filled with deep admiration you say; "Good morning, mine", chills run down my spine and all I can do mutter is "I love you too". Even my brain has decided to take a break, guess Jehovah was also planning my well deserved rest for and with me. At the right time he presented it to me in the form of you, like all the gifts from Jah, you are perfect!
