My past
My past is a cloud, heavy with rain, Darkened with the echoes of thunder. Trust, my love, when I say to you: You are the one, the bright light, The steady sun in the midst of the storm. For you, I will strip the stones from my heart, Tear down the walls that have stood for years. I will turn the fears that linger like shadows Into forgiveness, Let them dissipate like mist in the morning light. For you, I will open my soul wide, And let my heart, once held captive, Feel the peace of the calm that follows, After the storm has passed, And the winds of doubt fall silent. @Gabycpoetry
