My Muse
When I woke up this morning, my muse was on my bed. She hit me with a couplet, and this is what she said, "Wake up stupid poet! It's time to rhyme and shine. You're not getting any younger; you can't wait on Father Time! Go crank up that tablet. I have a line or two that will get you started; the rest is up to you." So I found my trusty tablet, blew off a little dust, then I turned my tablet on; for when I need to write, I must. I waited and I waited, but the tablet screen stayed dark. Then I began to panic, for I thought it wouldn't charge. My muse, she got impatient, and she finally ran away. I hoped that I would see her, maybe later in the day. My tablet finally started, but it was far too late. My words, I had forgotten; a perplexing state. So I thought I'd write this story, while waiting for my muse. After all, my faithful friends, what have I got to lose?
