My Mother:Part 2
I wish I had someone to give me life's tools I had no choice but to figure it out on my own. Once the child, now the parent, I became, Surviving on my own, shouldering the weight of her pain. As I grew older, forgiveness I've come to embrace, It was not her fault, I now see, my heart finds its grace. But the damage remains, an indelible mark, Etched deep within, shadows still stark. I forgive her, indeed, for the battles she faced, Yet the wounds I carry, the demons I've chased. As I journey through life, understanding unfurls, Comprehending her perspective, the strength of her world. I wish I had done more, supported her plight, But forgiveness extends to myself, for choices made in my own right.
