My mind
The dark is here to overtake the light, It has straggled it with all its might. The sun starts to set, The rain is making me wet. My brain is running, It is very cunning. There is no goodness left, The sadness should be arrested for theft. My lights are starting to go out, There has always seemed to be a sense of doubt. What happiness do I need? When all I have is greed. Happiness is no longer a real thing, The phone starts to ring. The person on the other side says they know you are down, But what will they give you, a crown? No one ever really cares, Because the problem is not theirs. No one ever really understands me, They believe that I should be jumping with glee. They don't know how hard it can be, When you sit every night and cry on your knee. Life is kicking me hard, Maybe all I need is a sorry card.
