My mind
My mind is lightning over an ocean My mind is like a toaster in a bath My mind screams at me every day and night, over and over and over again But it's my mind, so I should cherish it The ability to think, right? Wrong. I don't cherish the overwhelming thoughts The thoughts that tell me I would be better off hurt The thoughts that keep me up at night The thoughts that never leave my head My mind is a balloon full of water, about to fall on a nail My mind hurts me But I also love my mind Being able to escape through the bad times with my own mental reality Being able to have a whole new life away from this one The mind is so complicated and complex But it's our minds, and I have a love-hate relationship with mine.
