my little girl
you were a preemie 3 lb 12 and a half ounces you came by cesarean and you ended up in the incubator for a few days to make sure you gain some weight you had your dad worried your mom and I brought you home to the trailer park where we lived on base at Vandenberg. I put you on my legs with your feet touching my tummy and your head didn't even reach my knees. back then they didn't have preemie clothes so your mom took doll dress patterns and sowed them for you. you just turned 50 in September and you have my granddaughter who's 9 years old you're a woman and a mother and yet you're still my seven-year-old little girl.
