MY LIFE JACKET
Upon my life jacket, worn with care, A symbol of safety in the deep, A promise to protect me from despair, A buoyant friend that helps my spirit keep. The straps that bind it to my chest so tight, A reassuring pressure that calms my fears, The vibrant colors shining with delight, A beacon of hope that banishes my tears. But when the waves crash strong and the winds do howl, My life jacket holds me fast, a faithful friend, Through angry storms, it keeps my head above the cruise, And in the calm that follows, my heart does mend. And so I'll wear my life jacket with pride, And trust in its protection, side by side.
