My life...
I was a child, smiling, unafraid, the world was a game where no shadows stayed. The years carried me, adulthood arrived, but with it a storm I could not survive. I miss those days, carefree laughter’s glow, when growing old felt so far to go. Now I am different, burdened and tied, the weight of my troubles too heavy to hide. There were days when life lost its hue, dark thoughts pulling me into their view. To forget, to vanish, to not be missed, such were the thoughts, yet I chose to persist. Then she appeared, with a smile so bright, a girl who found me in my darkest night. She lit up the silence, brought color back in, for her, I’m grateful; with her, I can begin. She’s my friend, my gift from above, I cherish her laughter; she’s my purest love. Without her, my world would be empty and hollow, with her, I know there’s hope for tomorrow.
