My Letter To Him
He was like a dog Never to leave, always obsessed No idea what to do with him I struggle to comfort him in his lows I soon then realize he needed presence and not comfort, I gave him a warm hug before i left for the night I had a slight feel for his light Knowing he's afraid of heights, i asked May you go on this ride with me Partaking this ride with me, we ventured into the sky 300 feet if i could say His eyes teared up, the fear of being so high up is scary. I held onto him, making sure he felt safe for the rest of the night.. I ask him "are you okay" He mumbled a slight "I love you" I held on even tighter, unsure of what to say Months passed, and I walked with a new love Imperfect but lovable, not possessive, easy to embrace Seeing him again brought a mix of emotions Knowing our feelings still lingered Maturity brought the understanding Another attempt would be fleeting, destined to fail So I choose to let go, to block him with a single goodbye It was the best for both of us, a step forward Yet a lingering regret remains Uncertain of what the future holds, I stay with my current love Hoping for a different outcome, praying it won't end the same.
