My last wish
No funeral march, no mournful sigh No grave to claim, no bones to lie In earthy darkness, cold and grey I'd rather burn, and fade away To ashes light, in a simple urn No lavish rite, no wealth to yearn No need for crowds, no faces worn Just solitude, and a quiet dawn Keep me close, till the day's gone by A year of memories, a whispered sigh Then scatter me, in the ocean's sway Let my ashes drift, and fade away In the waves' dark depths, I'll find my peace My essence free, my soul released No tombstone marks, no final stand Just the sea's vast, embracing hand Let me go, where the currents roam And my ashes scatter, far from home No legacy, no final claim Just the wind, the waves, and the ocean's name.
