My Last Night
my last night I a hopeful being crowded in my bed the light draining from my eyes a sigh a last breath I held a hand no one owned saying my last goodbyes my last night who was I if not alone no one to hold no one to cry with all I am is a sweet sorrow who lies here just me and these bones my last night I think of you no way of knowing if you think of me too am I a fool or you my last night and no one's here to see me go no one to smile at as I fade and wash away no one to bury me with flowers that sway my last night my body's buried in the grass as daylight rises and dragonflies pass the sun hits the ground in which I'm under and new life grow my last night is over I'm gone faded in the breeze but no matter what life goes on and you still breath so I'm glad I held your hand even in just a dream
