my inner self
She was waiting for the happy ending, between dreams suspended in the dark, Where time drags on slowly And hopes slowly fade away. She counted every night, waiting for a different dawn, but the sun always rose the same, cold, distant, indifferent. The words that once warmed have become empty whispers, and the promises engraved on the heart They melted like summer snow. Now it lies on the cold floor, without beat, without weight, but the shadow on her face is serene, like those who are finally at peace. Maybe the stars welcomed her, Maybe the wind carries her away, perhaps, in a corner of the universe, found its happy ending.
