my imperfections
I once looked at myself in the mirror. I looked at my lips. I looked at my eyes. I look at my nose and my eyebrows. I looked at the shape of my face and all the imperfects on it. I never liked the reflection in the mirror I never liked to see the empty eyes looking back me I didn't like the tiredness in them, it made me feel weird because all the other girls in school didn't have it. I never liked my nose why couldn't it be as small as the noses from the girls in my school. i never liked my eyes why couldn't they be as big and shiny as from the girls I see everyday. I never liked the shape of my face why did it always have to look so fat no matter how much weight I lost. I didn't like my lips they were too thin and I didn't like my eyebrows they always looked weird. I took off my glasses I tried to style my hair I put on some makeup and wished for some confidence. and yet it never came. the only compliments I got were from my family and friends no one else even looked at me, it made my effort feel pointless. so I stopped I cut off chunks of my hair I stopped wearing makeup and stopped hoping for attantion I will never get, and yet there's still a part of me that hopes someone looks at me and thinks of me as beutiful the way i am.
