My Honest Poem
Going through the day hiding behind a mask of glass people say I'm energetic but what they don't see is I sweep up my emotions as if it was a game of hide and seek and I don't want them to be found Blinking back warm tears so no one can see the monster that lingers within me a people say I'm kind and understanding but what they do to see is that I just don't want them to feel what I feel. Biting back my tongue, smiling through a rainy day. Fighting the thoughts in my head, it's a war everyday. Acting on impulse Using pain as closure Using sleep as an escape Taking on others problems as if they are my own People say in annoying, but what they don't see is I just want to be heard. People say I'm clingy but I just don't want to end up alone People tell me not to worry so much but how am I supposed to do that when there is so much to worry about Sometimes the mask of glass cracks, sometimes I lose the game of hide and seek. But is that a bad thing? Some may say I'm emotional, but the truth is I just want the validation of being seen
