my hometown π
my hometown I remember it now in my thoughts of long gone memories the screams and laughters of the children in the street the barking of dogs stuck in a chain hold the dusty streets of my hometown the washing line exceeding to the neighbours yard you see I come from a town of warriors where when the streetlights light it indicates curfew where any material in your parents hand is a weapon to apply discipline I come from a country of pride I was raised by my country I grew up eating meals piled on top of each other I grew up chasing my mates with water on the first day of spring because where I come from we create our own holidays I remember my hometown like my pride and joy because mommy made me a writer π
